Abstract

Many countries seek workforce nationalization to support their economy and reduce unemployment rate. Literature lacks explanation of nationalization impact on job owners in the private sector. This study addresses this gap through interviews with job owners in the food and beverage sector in Saudi Arabia. Findings highlight the varying impact of Saudization, and its unsuitability for some according to the type of job and the age of firm. The study recommends considering these variations when implementing Saudization.
