The knowledge economy in Algeria: a study of indicators in the light of a group variables of the Knowledge Assessment Methodology (KAM)

Abstract

تهدف هذه الدراسة الى توضيح أهم الركائز والمؤشرات التي يقوم عليها اقتصاد المعرفة ومقارنتها بالوضع في الجزائر، واعتمدنا على أهم متغيرات مؤشرات منهجية تقييم المعرفة (KAM)ومقارنتها ببعض الدول المجاورة ودول أخرى تعرف تقدما على مستوى إقتصاد المعرفة. وتم التوصل إلى وجود ضعف على مستوى أهم ركائز هذه المنهجية كالنظام الفعال للإبتكار، وعدد براءات الإختراع،و عدد المنشورات العلمية. This study aims to clarify the most important pillars and indicators on which the knowledge economy is based and compare them with the situation in Algeria, and we relied on the most important indicators variables of the Knowledge Assessment Methodology (KAM) and compared them to some neighboring countries and other countries that are prosperous at the level of the knowledge economy. Weaknesses were found at the level of the most important pillars of this methodology, such as the effective system of innovation, the number of patents, and the number of scientific publications.
