Parenting Styles in the Contemporary Period and their Influence on Child Development: A Quantitative Study in Dindigul District

Abstract

This study examined how parenting styles and child development in the cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioural domains are influenced by sociodemographic factors, particularly family structure. In total, 300 parents or guardians completed validated measures of child development and parenting style and supplied sociodemographic data.
