Abstract

Railway platform gaps present significant threats to passenger safety, convenience, and efficiency. An automatic railway platform connecting bridge (ARPCB) is a promising solution that uses a mechanized bridge to cover the gap between the train and the platform. This study provides a thorough examination of the design, implementation, and advantages of ARPCB systems. Various existing methodologies, mechanisms, and control strategies are reviewed. Additionally, the report identifies problems and potential research objectives for improving railway platform accessibility.
