Abstract

The study provided a design and evaluation of the RGC iKiosk, an interactive information system aimed at improving service delivery in the Regional Government Center. The project began as a response to ongoing visitor issues related to travel directions, inconsistent access to government forms, and the need for manual inquiries and printed signages. The iKiosk was implemented to solve these problems by providing one digital space with an agency directory, announcements, downloadable forms to use, and a means of transport request through e-Trike services. The study determined that the iKiosk fostered more efficient government service delivery access, and conveyed how public transactions could be simplified using digital means, mitigating some of the physical bottleneck movements of service delivery, and establishing a more inclusive and service-oriented approach to governance. The study promoted the practical ICT solutions that can be implemented in a scalable manner to solve everyday problems in public institutions.
