Abstract

Deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE) and adenomyosis are common causes of pelvic pain and infertility. Accurate preoperative diagnosis is critical for management. Transvaginal ultrasound (TVUS), increasingly augmented with elastography, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are the leading noninvasive modalities.
