Foreign language communication competence as a factor of activation and expansion of business opportunities at the international level

Abstract

Acquiring foreign language competence is becoming a key factor in international business due to growing globalization and the associated need for international communication. Language learning programs for business are becoming increasingly popular, helping to attract professionals who can effectively communicate with partners from different countries, as successful interaction with partners from different cultures requires an understanding of their specific values, norms and traditions. Multilingualism and intercultural communication competence are becoming essential skills for effective communication in the globalized world, helping to expand opportunities and partnerships in the international business environment. The purpose of the article is a comprehensive study of foreign language communicative competence as a factor in enhancing and expanding business opportunities for companies at the international level. To achieve this goal, the article uses a number of general scientific and special research methods, such as scientific abstraction and theoretical generalization, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, and system analysis. The article reveals the essence of the systemic category of "foreign language communicative competence", considers various aspects of this concept, namely linguistic proficiency, cultural sensitivity and awareness, interpersonal skills, strategic communication, adaptability and flexibility, continuous learning and development. The authors identify language trends in the modern world and in the field of international business, including the top 10 most common languages in the world and the top 10 languages in terms of business prospects, and consider the importance of different languages in ensuring effective communication between companies from different countries. The authors substantiate the important role played by foreign language communication competence at the international level by considering the business opportunities it provides to companies in the field of international cooperation, namely, expanding market coverage, strengthening customer interaction, competitive advantage, facilitating negotiations and concluding agreements, and improved access to global experience.
