Abstract

Fifteen years after the global financial crisis of 2007-2008, a number of events have highlighted the systemic nature of the non-bank financial intermediation (NBFI) sector, in particular investment funds. These episodes have shed light on the vulnerabilities both for financial stability and the financing of the real economy.
