Abstract

The Covid crisis has strengthened China’s central role in global value chains. However, the rise in its position in these chains dates back to before the pandemic. It has become particularly closely integrated with ASEAN members, which import a growing share of intermediate goods from China. La crise pandémique a renforcé la centralité de la Chine dans les chaînes de valeur internationales. Toutefois, l’évolution de son positionnement au sein de ces chaînes est un phénomène plus ancien. L’intégration a été particulièrement marquée avec les pays de l’ASEAN, qui importent une part croissante de biens intermédiaires en provenance de Chine.
