L’indicateur climat : un outil au service de la transition climatique des entreprises

Abstract

Le changement climatique crée des risques pour les entreprises et plus généralement pour l’économie (inflation et stabilité financière notamment). Dans ce contexte, la Banque de France déploie progressivement des outils d’accompagnement pour les entreprises, leur permettant de disposer gratuitement d’une appréciation des risques auxquels elles sont exposées. En particulier, l’indicateur climat de transition (ICT) permettra aux entreprises des secteurs les plus émetteurs de gaz à effet de serre de construire des stratégies compatibles avec l’accord de Paris. Elles pourront aussi l’utiliser comme indicateur de référence pour financer leur transition. L’indicateur a vu le jour en 2024 pour trois premiers secteurs : production d’électricité, sociétés foncières, transports. Plus de 1500 indicateurs ont été attribués. Par ailleurs, un indicateur d’exposition aux risques climatiques sera progressivement proposé à toutes les entreprises situées sur le territoire français.
