La situation des entreprises en France en 2018 : les PME tirent leur épingle du jeu

Abstract

En 2018, le chiffre d’affaires augmente nettement pour toutes les tailles d’entreprise. Les petites et moyennes entreprises (PME) se démarquent cependant des entreprises de taille intermédiaire (ETI) et des grandes entreprises (GE) par une progression plus soutenue de la valeur ajoutée et de l’excédent brut d’exploitation, et par une diminution plus modérée du taux de marge. Le taux d’endettement des PME poursuit son recul alors qu’il reste stable pour les ETI et semble rebondir pour les GE. Par ailleurs, un phénomène de désintermédiation bancaire s’observe pour les ETI et les GE. Si les PME ont moins accès aux financements de marché, elles bénéficient toutefois d’une réduction de leurs primes de risque dans le contexte de taux d’intérêt bancaires bas. In fine, la capacité des entreprises à honorer leurs engagements financiers tend à s’améliorer. En matière de rentabilité, les PME affichent de meilleures performances que les autres sociétés non financières.
