Abstract
The article is devoted to summarizing the features of social entrepreneurship as an innovative type of entrepreneurial activity and substantiating its potential in the post-war recovery of Ukraine's economy. According to the results of the generalization of the approaches to defining the essence of social entrepreneurship according to its key features. Іt was determined that social entrepreneurship is the newest form of organizing entrepreneurial activity and is currently considered as a way to meet the social needs of society, a driver of positive innovative changes in society, and an environment for creating socially significant products and services. Based on the study of scientific publications on the topic of the study, a comparative description of the features of social and classical entrepreneurship was compiled, which will allow them to be more clearly distinguished in domestic practice (the comparison was made according to the following characteristics: the main purpose of creation and activity; priority direction of activity; legislative regulation; sources of financing; distribution and use of profit; main groups of risks; value proposition; priorities of innovative activity; priorities in personnel management). It is substantiated that a powerful potential for the development of social entrepreneurship is the involvement in this type of activity of those categories of citizens who have additional state guarantees for employment (persons with disabilities, veterans and combatants, internally displaced persons, youth under the age of 35, women). Areas that reveal the potential of social entrepreneurship development in Ukraine in the context of post-war recovery have been identified
