Comportamiento cíclico de las sociedades en Colombia: implicaciones en la fragilidad financiera del sistema

Abstract

Durante la recesión de comienzos de la década de los ochenta muchas empresas, tanto del sector financiero como del sector productivo, enfrentaron dicíciles situaciones de insolvencia. Dada la complementariedad que existe entre los dos tipo de entidades, debido a los nexos entre los mercados reales y financieros, no es de extrañar que esto sucediera. El presente estudio actualiza información proveniente de las cuentas financieras para caracterizar estas relaciones y contrasta emíricamente con la llamada Hipótesis de Inestabilidad Financiera de Minsky para el caso colombiano.
