Abstract

Motivación La Encuesta del Banco de España sobre la Actividad Empresarial (EBAE) permite extraer, en tiempo real, información acerca de la facturación, el empleo y los precios pagados y cobrados de una muestra amplia de empresas españolas, lo que proporciona una contribución muy relevante al diagnóstico de la situación coyuntural de la economía. Ideas principales •Las empresas perciben que su facturación se ha mantenido sin cambios en el cuarto trimestre de 2023, tras el descenso del trimestre anterior, y declaran un retroceso del empleo. •Se observa una ligera atenuación de las presiones inflacionistas tanto en los costes de producción como en los precios de venta, pero las expectativas apuntan a un leve repunte para el próximo año. •La actividad empresarial se ha visto afectada por la creciente incertidumbre sobre la política económica y las dificultades para encontrar mano de obra, así como por un aumento de factores relacionados con el endurecimiento de las condiciones financieras, las dificultades de acceso a la financiación y el incremento de los gastos financieros.
