La perspectiva regional de la Encuesta del Banco de España sobre la Actividad Empresarial

Abstract

Motivación La Encuesta del Banco de España sobre la Actividad Empresarial (EBAE) puede ser una fuente de información útil para el seguimiento coyuntural de la actividad regional. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la dimensión regional de los resultados de la EBAE. Ideas principales •La explotación de la dimensión regional de la EBAE parece adecuada, ya que, en la muestra, la distribución de empresas entre regiones se asemeja a la del universo de empresas y, además, algunos resultados de la encuesta señalan una elevada correlación con otros indicadores disponibles a nivel regional. •De acuerdo con los resultados de la EBAE, la facturación habría mostrado un mayor dinamismo en las comunidades autónomas de Canarias y Madrid en los últimos cuatro trimestres (III TR 2022 a II TR 2023), mientras que las regiones Sur, Centro, Noroeste y Cataluña habrían registrado un menor dinamismo. •En general, las regiones que registraron una evolución más positiva de la facturación en el último año son aquellas que a mediados de 2022 estaban más rezagadas en el proceso de recuperación del nivel del PIB prepandemia y las que han mostrado unas condiciones de demanda más favorables.
