España en las cadenas globales de valor

Abstract

En los últimos quince años se ha producido una expansión del comercio mundial que ha venido acompañada de una creciente fragmentación internacional de la producción, lo que ha dado lugar a las denominadas «cadenas globales de valor» (CGV). Esta nueva forma de organizar la producción a escala internacional conlleva que los países se especialicen cada vez más en pequeñas contribuciones respecto al producto final y las empresas sean cada vez más globales. La economía española no ha sido ajena a estos desarrollos, si bien presenta aún una participación en las CGV inferior al promedio internacional. No obstante, desde el inicio de la crisis y hasta 2014, las exportaciones españolas han incrementado su contenido importador, en parte como consecuencia de una reasignación de recursos hacia empresas con un mayor contenido importador y que han ganado peso en el total de las exportaciones. Además, España se caracteriza por ser uno de los países donde las exportaciones están más cerca del consumidor final en el país de destino, fenómeno que se ha acentuado en los últimos años.
