Situación y perspectivas de la economía mundial al comienzo de 2017

Abstract

Durante 2016 el crecimiento global volvió a decepcionar a los analistas. Además, se produjeron tres eventos de largo alcance, que, sin embargo, no tuvieron un gran impacto inmediato. A principios de año, los mercados financieros chinos experimentaron turbulencias, relacionadas con los retos que afrontan las autoridades chinas para implementar su programa de reformas estructurales. En junio, el Reino Unido votó a favor de la salida de la Unión Europea, lo que supone la pérdida de un influyente socio en el proceso de construcción europeo. Por último, en noviembre, el candidato republicano Donald Trump ganó las elecciones presidenciales de Estados Unidos. Esto podría suponer un cambio en las políticas macroeconómicas y un freno al proceso de globalización. Estos eventos revelan un contexto económico global de gran incertidumbre futura.
