Evolución reciente de los planes y fondos de pensiones en España

Abstract

En este artículo se analiza la evolución de los planes y fondos de pensiones en España en los últimos años. Su patrimonio ha crecido, tras la crisis financiera, a un ritmo mayor que el del PIB nominal, impulsado fundamentalmente por el curso favorable de los precios de los activos adquiridos. Esta evolución ha venido acompañada de cambios en la estructura de las carteras hacia instrumentos de mayor rentabilidad esperada y riesgo, si bien el perfil de riesgo sigue siendo, en promedio, reducido, si se compara con el de los sistemas de pensiones de otras economías avanzadas. En términos del tamaño relativo de este sector, España se sitúa dentro del rango de países de la OCDE con un menor desarrollo, aunque por encima del de las economías más grandes de la UEM.
