¿Cómo va el empleo… y las relaciones laborales? un año del nuevo gobierno

Abstract

A un año del nuevo gobierno, la tendencia en la recuperación del empleo formal (en empresas de más de diez trabajadores) es un hecho innegable. Sin embargo, con solo 17 % de participación en el conjunto de la PEA, aumentos superiores al 6 % apenas influyen en la mejora general del empleo: poco más del 1 %. La microempresa, por su parte, aunque da empleo al 53 % de la fuerza laboral del país, lo hace en condiciones de baja productividad y con escaso apoyo de las políticas públicas, de manera que los empleos que se generan no tienen las adecuadas condiciones remunerativas ni de protección social. El estudio contó con el auspicio de la Agencia Canadiense para el Desarrollo Internacional (ACDI) y el Centro Internacional de Investigaciones para el Desarrollo (IDRC, por sus siglas en inglés).
