Abstract

The fact that the problem of poverty, which dates back to as old as human history, has become more visible with industrialization, has caused states to produce policies regarding this problem. Because the poverty that became visible posed a threat to the states and/or the ruling - bourgeois - class. Social policies, which can be described as a whole of the policies created and implemented by the states in order to combat the problems that arise with industrialization, also include the problem of poverty. However, despite the social policies implemented by the states, the problem of poverty has not been resolved. The problem of poverty creates an image that encompasses the majority of the world's population today. From this point of view, our study is an evaluation on the effectiveness of social policies created for the problem of poverty.
