Abstract

The introduction of Instant payments based on the Sepa Credit Transfer is an innovative element for the Italian retail payment services market. Thanks to regulatory measures that promote the distribution of payment accounts and make the payment services market more transparent, secure and competitive, Instant bank transfers can offer an interesting tool to reduce the use of cash, even for small payments
