Abstract

The issue of sustainable finance, addressed from a European perspective, poses many challenges both financial and related to the state of knowledge. The global warming phenomenon, a real climate crisis, is committing the European Union and the European Investment Bank to face this crisis. The initiatives realized in the field of environmental protection are supported by the use of innovative financial instruments such as Green bonds, by the construction of an internal market for sustainable development and by the definition of a Taxonomy of sustainability to be used uniformly throughout the Union
