Abstract

While still young, credit rating has introduced important changes in the credit process, redesigning the organizational structure of the bank, its credit policy and the relationship with businesses. Despite heavy investments, rating models have suffered some problems and a negative impact produced by the crisis. Therefore, it is necessary to rethink the credit rating in order to capitalize its potential and make it as functional as possible
