Consumer credit, an opportunity for economic recovery and for households’ chances

Abstract

Consumer credit is an opportunity if used to finance projects aimed to improve individual and households' well-being, but it is also bears a clear responsibility and has to be carefully considered in order to avoid over-indebtedness. It is also a key factor for economic recovery but it is necessary to improve consumer education and awareness on credit and finance, disclosure and access to clear information and to avoid excessive regulation
