Author

Abstract

This paper describes the rising trend of mobile payments in emerging markets and its applicable use by organisation in cash payables and receivables. Examples are drawn from the developed markets in order to aid the discussion, and recommendations are given on how organisations can ride this mobile payments trend to embrace this novel way of cash management. The paper goes further, explaining how mobile can be leveraged to enhance customer loyalty and penetrate deeper in the emerging markets in ways that were not possible before.
