Abstract

Against the backdrop of the vigorous development of vocational undergraduate education, the teaching reform of professional basic courses has become a key link in improving the quality of talent training. This paper takes the Engineering Mechanics course of Shenzhen Polytechnic University as an example to deeply explore the innovative paths and practical effectiveness of professional basic courses in vocational undergraduate education. By constructing a curriculum system of "product carrier, technology traction, and integration of theory and practice", implementing competency-based teaching methods, and establishing a diversified evaluation mechanism, a teaching model of Engineering Mechanics with the characteristics of vocational undergraduate education has been formed. Practice has shown that this course has achieved remarkable results in enhancing students' professional abilities, stimulating their learning interests, and cultivating their professional qualities, providing a replicable experience and paradigm for the construction of professional basic courses in vocational undergraduate colleges.
