Abstract

With the increasing number of international students choosing to study in China, guiding these students to gain a deep understanding of Chinese culture and fostering a global community that values and appreciates China has become a central objective in the ongoing reform of international student education. In a multicultural context, the integration of effective ideological and political education with comprehensive daily management is essential for supporting students' academic development, personal growth, and social adaptation. This paper examines the necessity of coordinated development between ideological education and routine student management in a multicultural environment, highlighting how these two aspects can mutually reinforce one another to create a more holistic educational experience. It further identifies current challenges in this area, including insufficiently tailored educational content, limited engagement mechanisms, and the difficulty of addressing diverse student needs across cultural backgrounds. Based on these observations, the paper proposes a series of targeted strategies and practical measures aimed at improving the effectiveness, relevance, and inclusivity of international student education. By emphasizing systematic management, personalized guidance, and cultural integration, the research seeks to provide both theoretical insights and practical references for higher education institutions, offering guidance on how to enhance the quality and impact of educational programs for international students in China, while promoting intercultural understanding and positive student experiences.
