Abstract

With the accelerating transformation of global industries, vocational education is increasingly expected to provide a steady supply of skilled talent capable of meeting evolving market demands. Industry-school cooperation has emerged as a strategic mechanism to bridge the gap between education and employment, aligning curricula with industrial needs while enhancing student employability. This paper examines the conceptual framework, current practices, and structural challenges of cooperative talent cultivation, and proposes strategic pathways toward sustainable development. The analysis highlights how policy innovation, practice-oriented curricula, enterprise engagement, and digital technologies can jointly foster deeper integration between vocational institutions and enterprises. Case insights reveal that successful cooperation requires more than temporary arrangements; it demands long-term mechanisms, mutual trust, and systemic alignment across stakeholders. By advancing industry-school synergy, vocational education can not only enhance workforce competitiveness but also contribute to industrial upgrading and broader socio-economic progress.
