Abstract

This study investigates the mechanisms and practical approaches for the deep integration of traditional martial arts culture with contemporary physical education. By systematically analyzing the philosophical, historical, and aesthetic dimensions of traditional martial arts, it highlights the unique cultural values and educational significance they can contribute to physical education curricula. The research further examines current practices of integration in schools and training institutions, identifying key challenges such as insufficient instructional resources, lack of standardized teaching frameworks, and limited teacher proficiency in combining cultural knowledge with physical training. Based on these observations, the study proposes a comprehensive framework for promoting effective integration, emphasizing curriculum design, teacher development, and the creation of engaging learning environments that respect both traditional heritage and modern pedagogical principles. The findings are intended to offer both theoretical guidance and practical strategies to preserve traditional martial arts, enhance the quality of physical education, and support students' holistic development in terms of physical competence, cultural literacy, and personal growth.
