Abstract

This paper investigates the structural employment challenges currently faced by college students and systematically examines the mechanisms through which innovation and entrepreneurship education can enhance graduates' employability. By integrating comprehensive literature review, case analyses, and empirical research, the study highlights the distinctive contributions of such education in fostering creative thinking, practical problem-solving abilities, and professional competencies that align with evolving labor market demands. The research demonstrates that a strategically designed innovation and entrepreneurship curriculum, coupled with experiential learning platforms and active industry-university collaboration, can significantly strengthen graduates' core employability attributes. Furthermore, to address prevalent issues such as superficial course formats, limited practical opportunities, and inadequate exposure to entrepreneurial environments, the paper proposes a holistic training framework encompassing four interrelated components: theoretical instruction, hands-on practice, entrepreneurial incubation, and career guidance services. This integrated model not only facilitates the cultivation of entrepreneurial mindset and professional skills but also bridges the gap between academic learning and workplace requirements, providing a comprehensive and actionable approach to mitigate graduate employment challenges. The findings underscore the importance of embedding innovation and entrepreneurship education within broader professional development initiatives, ultimately supporting the preparation of highly skilled, adaptable, and market-ready graduates capable of navigating complex employment landscapes.
