Abstract

The New Engineering Education initiative represents a strategic response to the new wave of technological revolution and industrial transformation. As a paradigm of interdisciplinary integration, IoT Engineering requires innovative approaches to talent development that transcend traditional engineering disciplinary boundaries. Grounded in the New Engineering Education's core principles of "innovation, integration, and practice," this study examines the challenges in cultivating IoT engineering professionals. Through multidimensional strategies-including goal redefinition, curriculum optimization, practical platform development, and faculty team enhancement-it explores talent cultivation approaches aligned with industry demands and technological trends. The findings provide theoretical references and practical pathways for advancing the high-quality development of IoT Engineering programs within the New Engineering Education framework.
