Abstract

With the ongoing development of China's Free Trade Port (FTP) and the increasing internationalization of healthcare services, there is a growing demand for vocational undergraduate nursing professionals equipped with both foreign language proficiency and professional nursing skills. This study proposes an innovative Dual-Helix "Foreign Language + Nursing" system tailored to this context, integrating interdisciplinary curriculum design, practical teaching, faculty development, and quality assurance. The system aims to cultivate internationally competent, application-oriented nursing talents capable of effective cross-cultural communication and clinical practice in global healthcare environments. Through policy analysis and case studies, the research highlights the importance of institutional support, interdisciplinary collaboration, and authentic practice environments in system implementation. The findings offer a practical framework for nursing education reform in emerging international medical hubs and suggest directions for future empirical validation and technology integration.
