Abstract

New type of agricultural operating entities (NTAOE) serve as the core driving force for China's rural revitalization strategy. However, their high-quality development is constrained by inadequate financial support, while small-scale traditional agricultural operations hinder the transformation toward modern agriculture. This study aims to address these challenges by focusing on Datong City, exploring the financial service needs of local NTAOE, clarifying the operational mechanisms of financial support, and proposing innovative financial models to facilitate the rational allocation of production factors and promote agricultural modernization. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining literature review, field surveys, and case analysis. Primary data were collected through interviews and questionnaires targeting NTAOE, financial institutions, and local agricultural management departments in Datong, to systematically analyze the characteristics of financial demand and the current status of financial support. The study identifies the core financial needs of Datong's NTAOE and proposes specific implementation paths for innovative financial models. It provides practical support for optimizing financial services for NTAOE in Datong, which helps overcome the limitations of small-scale operations, promote the transformation of traditional family farming to modern agricultural production, and enhance the rational allocation of agricultural production factors. The findings hold significant implications for advancing rural revitalization and accelerating agricultural modernization.
