Abstract

The aim of this paper is to optimize the technological parameters of the ecological milk cooling plant with the application of natural cold, which ensures a significant increase in energy efficiency at collection points in the Republic of Moldova. The proposed plant captures the natural cold and stores it in the insulated cold accumulator without the use of freons, which is then used for cooling milk. In order to achieve the goal, the mathematical model of the intermediate refrigerant cooling process using renewable energy was developed in the paper. Based on the requirements imposed on the technological process as well as the developed mathematical model, it was determined that for cooling the intermediate refrigerant from the initial temperature of +14°C to +4°C, at the ambient temperature of +2°C, 34.25 times more equivalent volume of air is required.
