Abstract

The well-known condition for assembling a planetary gear with several satellites is done by assuming that all gears are zero, without tool displacement. This condition greatly limits the kinematic transmission capabilities. A method is proposed for assembling satellites with an arbitrary gear ratio of a planetary (or simply coaxial) mechanism by making wheels with an off set tool. The problem is solved for both satellites with a single gear ring and those with double gear ring.
