Abstract

Entrepreneurial climate is a complex phenomenon which is a result of continuous interactions between company’s external and internal environment. It consists of five building blocks: management support, work discretion, time availability, rewards and reinforcements and organizational boundaries. It is possible to assess entrepreneurial climate by using Corporate Entrepreneurship Assessment Instrument (CEAI) which enables strategic management to gain high-quality insights on the level of entrepreneurial environment within an organization, thus, enabling them with quality information needed to create future business development strategic directions. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the entrepreneurial climate within pharmaceutical company PharmaSwiss Ltd. Zagreb by using the case study methodology. This paper provides literature overview, describes the diagnosing tool for determining the level of entrepreneurial climate within organizations and presents detailed example of CEAI instrument application in the pharmaceutical company PharmaSwiss Ltd. Discussion is enriched with business examples which were identified through in-depth interviews with PharmaSwiss employees.
