La relación entre el tipo de cambio real y el salario real en Argentina 2001-2015: Reexaminando la evidencia

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo reexaminar las relaciones entre el tipo de cambio real y el salario real para Argentina durante 2001-2015. Los resultados confirman la relación inversa entre las variables. Una diferencia con respecto a los trabajos clásicos fue desagregar los salarios por categorías: registrados, no registrados, públicos y nivel general. La elasticidad más elevada se obtuvo en los salarios de los trabajadores no registrados, posiblemente, debido a su condición de informalidad y al estar fuera de los convenios colectivos de trabajo, tienen menores chances de proteger su poder de compra.
