De digitale transformatie van finance & control: een analyse van de gevolgen voor controllers

Abstract

Dit artikel geeft een inleidend overzicht van de ontwikkelingen omtrent de digitale transformatie van finance & control. Daarnaast biedt het een weergave van een exploratief onderzoek naar deze transformatie en de gevolgen voor controllers. Uit het vragenlijst­onderzoek blijkt dat cloudtechnologieën en datavisualisatie een belangrijke rol spelen in de huidige werkzaamheden van controllers. Bovendien verwachten controllers dat artificial intelligence, predictive analytics en automatisering in de komende 5 jaar eveneens een essentieel onderdeel van de controllingpraktijk zullen worden. Digitalisering verandert de werkzaamheden van controllers, hetgeen kan leiden tot digitale bezorgdheid. Een digitaletransformatiestrategie helpt om deze bezorgdheid te verminderen.
