Samenwerking met kunstenaars creëert innovatiekracht en meer verbinding

Abstract

De huidige tijd kenmerkt zich door een hoge mate van onvoorspelbaarheid en onzekerheid. De term die daarbij past, is VUCA: volatile, uncertain, complex and ambigue. Het effect daarvan is dat de gebruikelijke oplossingen voor vraagstukken vaak niet meer adequaat werken. Voor het reilen en zeilen van organisaties brengt dit de nodige risico's met zich mee en innoveren is noodzakelijk. Menselijk gedrag blijkt echter veel minder rationeel en logisch en veel onvoorspelbaarder dan lang werd aangenomen. Willen organisaties innovatieve oplossingen vinden voor hun processen waarin de menselijke factor centraal staat? Dan is het extra van belang dat ze leren omgaan met onduidelijkheid, onzekerheid en onvoorspelbaarheid. Samenwerking met kunstenaars kan organisaties helpen om hun medewerkers hierin mee te nemen en fris en onbevangen naar bestaande situaties te kijken. Daarbij krijgen ook de tot dan toe ongehoorde stemmen een podium.
