Assurance bij duurzaamheidsinformatie, wat is de status bij Nederlandse beursfondsen?

Abstract

In dit artikel wordt de impact besproken van het Europese richtlijnvoorstel CSRD op assurance-opdrachten in Nederland. Er wordt uitleg gegeven over de CSRD in de context van assurance. Ook wordt via een empirisch onderzoek onder 74 beursgenoteerde AEX-, AMX- en AScX-ondernemingen inzicht gegeven in de mate waarin zij assurance bij hun duurzaamheidsinformatie vragen en op basis van de inhoud van de assurance-rapporten is een analyse gemaakt van de reikwijdte, gehanteerde criteria, mate van zekerheid, de beoogde gebruiker en de relatie met de transparantie van ondernemingen. Het laat zien dat 45% van de onderzochte ondernemingen assurance heeft bij de duurzaamheidsinformatie. Ook laat het zien dat er veel variatie is in de inhoud van de assurance-opdracht.
