Uma análise insumo-produto da indústria manufatureira por meio de extração hipotética

Abstract

O principal objetivo do artigo é aplicar o Método de Extração Hipotética (MEH) na indústria manufatureira de Belo Horizonte e Região (i.e, o Arranjo Populacional de Belo Horizonte - APB), para se quantificar em indicadores econômicos relevantes a importância e efeito desse setor na estrutura econômica nacional, regional e local. Uma série de efeitos negativos foram computadas em termos do produto bruto, multiplicadores, mudanças nos setores chave, emprego, renda e qualificação, demonstrando de maneira factual que a ausência deste setor gera consequência negativas em nível local, regional e nacional, ou seja, existe uma grande interdependência das atividades econômicas da indústria manufatureira do APB com os demais setores da economia do país.
