Abstract

El objetivo de este estudio es determinar si los diversos tipos de impactos sostenibles percibidos (económicos, socioculturales y ambientales) tienen un efecto causal distinto sobre las variables dependientes planteadas: "actitud general hacia el turismo" y "actitud hacia el turismo tradicional (sol y playa)". Los datos utilizados para el análisis causal están formados por una muestra de 420 residentes de la conurbación de Maldonado-Punta del Este (Uruguay). El análisis de los datos se ha llevado a cabo a través de regresión de Mínimos Cuadrados Parciales (PLS). Los resultados indican que las principales variables explicativas de las actitudes hacia el turismo son los beneficios económicos y los cambios socioculturales negativos, destacando los beneficios económicos por su importancia y nivel de significación.
