Auto-Segregação Sócio-Espacial em Lisboa

Abstract

A cidade é caracterizada por ser um espaço anisomórfico em termos quer dos grupos sociais quer da localização das actividades humanas. As constantes mudanças sociais e económicas ocorridas ao longo dos tempos e em especial na última década, levaram à reorganização do espaço interno das cidades, introduzindo novas formas de organização e incentivando à reflexão sobre a evolução das morfologias urbanas. Desta forma, este estudo pretende demonstrar a distribuição, na cidade de Lisboa, das novas formas de exclusão sócioespacial; a auto-segregação, que surge em oposição à tradicional segregação imposta. Estas formas de ocupação e apropriação do espaço urbano, por parte das classes sócio-económicas mais abastadas traduz e influencia a reconfiguração, em curso, do espaço lisboeta.
