Abstract

This paper aims to propose a scaffolding development framework for designing and developing mobile educational augmented reality (AR) app. The purpose of creating this app is to improve the level of creative thinking among pre-schoolers. The framework expanded the generic ADDIE model of instructional system design because it has five systematic phases which serve as a guide for building effective instructional materials. Selected relevant learning theories are connected to each of the phases in order to improve preschoolers’ creative thinking.
