Abstract

Pozytywną cechą recenzowanej książki jest podjęcie szczególnie ważnego problemu współczesnej gospodarki, jakim jest innowacyjny rozwój regionalny. Na tle bogatej literatury autor szeroko przedstawił złożoność problematyki rozwoju gospodarczego w przekroju regionalnym, a także innowacyjności tego rozwoju. Główną osią przewodnią książki, tak jak to zrozumiałem po jej lekturze, jest pomiar rozwoju regionalnego i innowacji w ich wzajemnych związkach. Dostrzegam jednak brak rozwiniętej własnej koncepcji całokształtu polityki regionalnej, jej instrumentów oraz oceny skuteczności działań proinnowacyjnych. Byłyby one istotnym wkładem autora w rozwój teorii proinnowacyjnego rozwoju regionalnego, a także mogłyby być wykorzystane w praktyce gospodarczej. Treść książki wpisuje się w ważny segment rozwoju nauk ekonomicznych, jak też gospodarki. Innowacyjność i rozwój regionalny zostały ukazane w ich wzajemnym związku. Zalecam ekonomistom, zwłaszcza praktykom gospodarki, lekturę tej książki. (fragment tekstu)
