Abstract

Argumenty i kontrowersje dotyczące wyróżnienia Thalera nagrodą im. Alfreda Nobla są obecnie szeroko dyskutowane. W niniejszym opracowaniu charakteryzowane są argumenty przyjęte przez Komitet Noblowski, a także argumenty i kontrowersje dotyczące znaczenia ekonomii behawioralnej jako odrębnego nurtu w teorii ekonomii. Charakterystyki te poprzedzone są podstawowymi danymi na temat dotychczas przyznanych 79 nagród im. Alfreda Nobla w dziedzinie nauk ekonomicznych. Zarazem przedstawione są główne cechy i elementy dorobku ekonomii behawioralnej, rozpatrywane przede wszystkim w kontekście ekonomii neoklasycznej, jako dominującego dotychczas nurtu w teorii ekonomii. Głównym celem stawianym w tym opracowaniu jest charakterystyka wkładu Richarda Thalera w rozwój ekonomii behawioralnej oraz podkreślenie praktycznej użyteczności tego nurtu badawczego. Podstawą przedstawionych tu analiz były studia literatury przedmiotu, w tym przede wszystkim publikacje Richarda Thalera (vide "Bibliografia"). (fragment tekstu)
