Friedmanowska metoda obrony ekonomii neoklasycznej

Abstract

Kwestia tego, czy uznamy nierealistyczność założeń za deficyt przesądzający o odrzuceniu wybranego aparatu teoretycznego, czy też nie, jest do rozstrzygnięcia za pomocą innego założenia: czy chcemy, żeby modele ekonomiczne mówiły coś o świecie rzeczywistym i gospodarujących ludziach, czy też chcemy je traktować jak narzędzia o zdolnościach predykcyjnych. Friedman optował za rozwiązaniem drugim, które jego zdaniem przesądzało o skutecznej obronie stosowania nierealistycznych założeń. A konkretniej o skutecznej obronie pewnej nierealistycznej narracji ekonomicznej: neoklasycyzmu. (fragment tekstu)
