Wskaźniki empiryczne w analizie cykli ubezpieczeniowych

Abstract

Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja empirycznych wskaźników analiz cykli ubezpieczeniowych, poprzez przedstawienie kryteriów ich doboru, klasyfikacji oraz możliwości ich wykorzystania. W dotychczasowych badaniach cykli ubezpieczeniowych analizowano zwykle tylko jedną zmienną. Zamysłem autora, na podstawie dotychczasowej literatury na temat empirycznych badań cykliczności w ubezpieczeniach, jest stworzenie katalogu wskaźników, które warto badać pod kątem występowania cykli ubezpieczeniowych. Niniejsze opracowanie ma charakter głównie teoretyczny. W artykule nie podjęto próby empirycznej weryfikacji zaproponowanych rozwiązań na przykładzie wybranego rynku ubezpieczeń czy linii biznesowej, ale praca ta ma stanowić podstawę do dalszych empirycznych badań nad cyklicznością w ubezpieczeniach. Przedmiotem zainteresowania autora nie jest ocena koniunktury na rynku ubezpieczeń, lecz badanie wahania koniunktury, szczególnie o charakterze cyklicznym. (fragment tekstu)
