Mechanizm dywergencji gospodarczej w strefie euro

Abstract

Niniejszy artykuł koncentruje się na podstawowym problemie wspólnego obszaru walu¬towego, w tym przypadku Unii Gospodarczej i Walutowej (UGiW), potocznie zwanej strefą euro. Celem analizy jest próba odpowiedzi na pytanie: czy wspólna waluta sprzyja konwergencji, czy też może prowadzić do dywergencji gospodarczej wewnątrz unii monetarnej? Przedstawiony niżej mechanizm oraz przytoczone dane sugerują, że dla części członków strefy euro uczestnictwo we wspólnym obszarze walutowym może być źródłem problemów gospodarczych i postępującej dywergencji wewnątrz unii walutowej. Analizę przeprowadzono na podstawie danych dla wybranych państw strefy euro. (fragment tekstu)
