Technological Innovation to Improve the Industrial Companies Positioning within its Competitive Structure: Case study of El Sewedy Cables Company (Algeria)

Abstract

This study aims to clarify the contribution of technology innovation in improving the industrial companies' competitiveness within their competitive structure. To achieve this objective and test the hypotheses, El Sewedy Cables Company (Algeria) was selected as a case study. The study used the case study approach through the questionnaire to collect data, which was distributed to a sample of 30 members of the company's board, and after the statistical analysis of data collected through the use of the SPSS, The most important result is, there is a statistically significant impact at the level of (0.05) for the technology innovation of the El Sewedy Company on its competitive structure represented by (Competition in the industry, the Power of suppliers, the Power of customers, Potential of new entrants into the industry, and Threat of substitute products). In light of these results, the study presented some recommendations that can guide El Sewedy Company to overcome and strengthen the weaknesses in its technological innovation model and strengthen the strengths on the other hand, which helps it to improve its competitive position within the competition structure.
